LNSA Newsletter Vol 1 Jan 2013

This is our first official newsletter for the LNSA. We’d like to begin by extending an apology to those members who have been waiting for our news updates but have not been contacted since entering our membership. As a stakeholder, chances are you’re a fellow lodge owner, hut-operator, or other interested and concerned party. Our core executive committee is still small and consists of fellow lodge owners whom, like yourselves (we hope), have been run off their feet this past fall and early winter servicing clients.

In between all the mayhem, they are still actively addressing the concerns that are the foundation of this organization. Of course, the primary concern has been the preservation of the walleye fishery on Lake Nipissing as well as its continued reputation as being one of the go-to destinations for walleye fishing in Ontario. This particular newsletter will not be addressing any issues quite yet as we still need time to sort fact from fiction.

Many of our information sources and contacts are still at large. For example, we are still waiting for a response from the MNR to several of our inquiries and submissions regarding our proposed spring walleye stocking program. Little can be done without their approval.
